A Hazard Mitigation meeting for the residents of Marlboro under the auspices of the Windham Region Commission will be held on Wednesday, December 11 at 6:00pm at the Town House (13 Town Hill Road, Marlboro). Residents are encouraged to attend in person at the Marlboro Town House if possible. A zoom option is available. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MEETING WILL NOW TAKE PLACE AT THE MARLBORO TOWN OFFICE instead of the Town House. Due to a somewhat smaller location, anybody who could attend via ZOOM is urged to do so. See the information to find the ZOOM link below.
Resident input is really important as the town develops this 5 year plan to address natural hazards in Marlboro: Flooding, erosion, invasive plants, infrastructure upgrades, sources of pollution, hazardous materials, emergency planning, beaver dams, River Corridor Mapping, power outages, tree removal needs, repetitive losses, development trends, goals, progress and efforts to provide a safe community for everyone to live in and enjoy are all a part of the discussion. The input residents provide during this meeting will guide the Hazard Mitigation Plan Update, establishing a sound and workable plan to address our hazard weaknesses.
To Join via ZOOM, the link (and phone-in number) are available on the Marlboro Select Board Page of the the Town’s Website <https://marlborovt.us/boards-minutes/select-board/ > and on the agenda that will be published 2-3 days prior to the meeting date.
