Vermont Primary Election August 11, 2026

The Vermont Primary Election will be on August 11, 2026.  The polls will be open for in-person voting from 9 am until 7 pm in the Town House at 13 Town Hill Road in Marlboro Center.  This election determines who will be on the ballot for Vermont state offices in November.  
 
For this Primary Election, you will receive 3 ballots representing Democratic, Progressive, and Republican parties.  For your ballot to be counted, you will vote ONE party ballot and return TWO unvoted party ballots.  All parties will be represented on the General Election ballot in November.   
 
Guidance from the Vermont Secretary of State regarding this election includes the following:

• Absentee ballots for the August 11, 2026 Vermont Primary will be available after June 26, 2026.
• In order to vote early/absentee by mail, voters will need to request a ballot from the Town Clerk.
• Voters will not be mailed ballots unless they request one. 
 
The Vermont Voter Portal at  https://vote.vermont.gov/  is the online resource that allows every registered voter to log in and access a unique, voter-specific web page with information pertinent to you.  You may request your absentee ballot here, or register to vote here if needed.  Please visit the site to ensure your voter registration record is accurate, with current mailing address and legal physical address.
