The Vermont Primary will be on August 13, 2024.

This election determines who will be on the ballot in November for Vermont state offices. 

The polls will be open for in-person voting from 9 am until 7 pm in the Town House at 13 Town Hill Road in Marlboro Center.  

This will be the second Primary this year, and for this election you will receive three ballots (representing Democratic, Progressive, and Republican parties) and for your vote to count, you will vote ONE and return TWO unvoted ballots. Guidance from the Vermont Secretary of State regarding elections includes the following:

  • Absentee ballots for the August 13, 2024 Vermont Primary will be available after June 29, 2024.
  • In order to vote early/absentee by mail, voters will need to request a ballot from the Town Clerk.
  • Voters will not be mailed ballots unless they request one. 
  • The “My Voter Page” at  mvp.vermont.gov  is the online resource that allows every registered voter to login and have access to a unique, voter-specific web page with information pertinent to you.  You may also request your absentee ballot there.  Please visit the site to make certain your voter registration record is accurate with current mailing address and legal physical address.   
  • To register to vote, please visit the “Online Voter Registration Tool”  at   olvr.vermont.gov  which allows all eligible Vermonters to submit their voter registration application online anytime and anywhere they can access the internet.  Paper applications are available in the Town Office and at the polling place.
